Region 4 Roundtable • Johnson County (Copy)

Round tables imply that we are equals, everyone has a voice, and leadership comes from the collective. We host Round tables each Spring and Fall for these reasons and more. Come, on in. You are welcome, and your voice is valued.

This year, more than ever, we gather to affirm that the Big C Church is a powerful witness for Jesus when we are unified. Love KC and Unite KC merged partly to make the statement that we are better together. We need each other. You can’t be “the Body” if you exist in a silo.

Round tables are places where people listen to each other and hear from God.

Come learn about what we call, The Four Greats” and how it doesn’t work without you.

Region 4 Roundtable • Johnson County

You're invited to the Spring Regional Roundtables for EveryKC, an initiative of Love KC. EveryKC facilitates business, church, and organization leader collaboration so every person in Kansas City has multiple opportunities to hear the good news of Jesus from a friend.

Regional Roundtables are a valuable opportunity to build relationships, share ideas, and find common ground.

Kansas City is so big and diverse no one ministry or church can reach every person in the city for Jesus. It takes all of us.

Regional Roundtables bring together ministry leaders, Pastors, and interested marketplace leaders to collaborate around fulfilling the five finish lines of the Great Commission:

  1. Prayer

  2. Compassion/Justice

  3. Evangelism

  4. Bible engagement

  5. Multiplication of communities, mircochurches, and churches.

Participants are invited to choose a finish line table and meet to understand better how to move each finish line forward, learn best practices, and where we are stuck. At the end of that time, we reconvene to debrief and pray before we go.

If we work as catalysts to bring the body of Christ together, the big C church will do what we are designed to do–collaborate in unity to fulfill the mission of Jesus in KC.

National Day of Prayer

  • 100 East Santa Fe Street Olathe, KS, 66061 United States (map)

Join Us in the National Day of Prayer

The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. James 5:16b

It’s very apparent that we need a great move of God in America—an outpouring of awakening and revival in our nation. We also know that every great awakening and revival in history is ushered in with God’s people passionately pouring out their hearts in prayer.

One always precedes the other. Americans across the country will gather on the National Day of Prayer in parks, churches, schools, and statehouses to lift up prayers and petitions to God, followed by an evening National Observance Broadcast hosted by the National Day of Prayer Task Force from the Museum of the Bible in Washington D.C.

The broadcast will be a culminating event; a prayer service available in every home in America to unite our hearts in prayer. This year we call our fellow Americans to join together and pray diligent, faith-filled prayers that intercede for both our neighbors and nation.

Please join us at the Johnson County gathering on May 4 from 12:00-1:15 at 100 E. Santa Fe
(across from the City Courthouse in Olathe).

We will worship and pray together. This is an outdoor event rain or shine. We will use the National Day of Prayer guide for our prayer and topics. Click here to view/download. There are few places to sit so please bring a camping chair if you desire or need a place to sit.

Many thanks to Gary Schmitz for putting so many opportunities together for Kansas City. Please check out https://www.nationaldayofprayer.org/events to find about other events in the city.

Johnson County Pastors and Leaders Lunch

A Fresh Wind is Blowing

I'm hearing from leaders across the city and the country that there is a noticeable uptick in the Spirit's work in prayer meetings, schools, Sunday services, and outreaches.

Two different pastors told me they'd had multiple unplanned baptisms, one six and one eleven.

I wonder if it is our anticipation and expectation providing faith or if it is an answer to prayer where God is moving in grace beyond what we deserve.

What if it is both? God is attracted to hunger like metal to a magnet.

We can bring faith and anticipation, and let's see what God will do.

Johnson Co (Region 4), Thursday April 20th , 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Hope Chapel, 12480 Black Bob Rd., Olathe. Thank you, Hope Chapel, for your hospitality and the meal. Hope Chapel also hosts an Alpha event for area youth leaders that day, so look for signs to find the right room.

Johnson County Pastors and Leaders Lunch

Pastors and Leaders,

We meet, build relationships, and pray on the third Thursday of each month, 11:30–1:00 pm.

We are into the third decade of ensuring the big "C" church has a monthly place to gather and pray in Olathe. There have been different hosts and places, but the prayer has been constant.

Recently, we’ve had many from other parts of the city ask to come, so we changed the name to Johnson County Pastors and Leaders praying for 2023. Our participation doubled in January. It’s not about numbers. Jesus comes for two or three, but this reveals the desire and need are real. We promise to keep Jesus at the center and minimize outside noise. We want you to be able to connect with Him and each other.

You can come from anywhere in the city, and you’ll be welcome. We hope to see you there!
